Anfield


  • Anfield is a football stadium in the district of Anfield, Liverpool, England. Built in 1884, the stadium has hosted both Liverpool FC were formed in 1892 as a result of the original tenants Everton FC, leaving the ground. The stadium has four galleries: Spion Kop, Main Stand, Centenary Stand and Anfield Road, giving a total capacity of 45,276. The record attendance of 61,905 is the stage that was created in a match between Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1952. This record was set before converting to the ground in a phase of all seats in 1994, the changes which are the result of Taylor's report, has greatly reduced capacity. Important elements of the stadium include two gates named after former Liverpool manager: the door of Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly gate. In addition, a statue of Shankly is situated outside the stadium. Public transport at Anfield include bus and rail services, but lacks a dedicated parking.
  • Anfield is a stage of the UEFA Elite, and has hosted numerous high level international competitions, including games in England. Il terreno è stato usato anche come luogo di Euro 96. The ground will host matches during the Rugby World Cup 2015, with pool matches taking place at the stadium. There are plans to replace Anfield with a capacity of 60,000 stadium in Stanley Park. The opening of the new stadium is planned for 2011, but the state of the financial market and disagreement among the American co-owners of the club makes this doubtful.
